The day I started a 10-week programme at SIMPLIFYT boutique gym was the day after my boyfriend of 5 years and I broke up. In hindsight the timing was impeccable, but completely unplanned. I turned up to that first session with a lot on my mind – none of which was fitness related, and I toughed my way through the initial assessment with a laser focus on not spontaneously bursting into tears.
10-Weeks of Fitness & Life Coaching
So how did I come to be participating in a 10-week programme of fitness and life coaching? Well initially I had approached SIMPLIFYT with visions of spending a cold winter transforming myself physically, and emerging in February looking and feeling fab, just in time for a month’s holiday back home in sunny New Zealand. I was all about getting toned and taut, and although the life coaching component of the programme sounded great, it was just a bonus in my mind.
Thinking back, it seems the stars somehow aligned when I was thrown in the path of Evelyn Sztojanov and her team of trainers at SIMPLIFYT. If ever I needed life coaching alongside consistent fitness training and support from a host of experienced and committed professionals, this was the time! I decided I was going to dive into the next 2.5 months with gusto. Never mind the line-up of Christmas holiday festivities that crammed the social calendar, I was going to be dedicated to this process.
Over the next few weeks I’m going to share with you my journey – the highs, the lows, and my (hopeful) progress. In this first article I will introduce you to the SIMPLIFYT methodology, and next week we will get right into how my first week panned out.
The SIMPLIFYT Concept:
Results. Speed. Personalisation. These are the core focuses at SIMPLIFYT and are structured into every programme. The highly qualified trainers use high precision training systems combined with short, functional workouts (no more than 30 minutes), that are customised to the client.
SIMPLIFYT utilises a mix of the following in a programme to help clients achieve their goals:
High-precision work in sessions of 20-30 minutes in classes of maximum 4 people so that each person is fully supervised, and workouts can be adapted to the individual.

SimplySTREET X is a one-hour group park workout. In addition to being outdoors and getting oxygen, discover how far you can go if you surround yourself with motivating people.
Coaching is a dialogical process that aims to help you discover and activate your own resources to bring out the best in yourself. The coach is a person trained to accompany you who will help you achieve your goals, personal or professional.
My Weekly Programme:
- 2 x Boost 30′ sessions
- 1 x Electrofitness session
- 1 x 1hr outdoor circuit training session
- 1 x Life Coaching session
