Off the back of Spoon Full O’ Moon’s eagerly anticipated annual countryside Christmas fair last weekend we are well and truly in the festive spirit. December can often be a frenetic month, so we encourage you to slow down and savour these last days of the year (you can also try savouring these delicious Christmas Pudding Raw Bliss Balls!). Indulgence and lots of socialising are a given, but taking time for yourself is equally as important. Striking a balance can see you entering 2023 renewed and invigorated, with fresh optimism for the year ahead. We will be taking a short break from our newsletter over the new year period, so from us to you, have a wonderful holiday season and we will connect again in the new year!
WUNDER WORKSHOP ELIXIRS
One of our favourite stalls representing at the Christmas fair last weekend was Wunder Workshop. With a selection of tinctures, mushrooms, adaptogens and CBD drops, all in stunningly beautiful packaging, their products make the perfect gift for the wellness warriors in your life. Set up by Tom and Zoe in 2014, Wunder Workshop uses only organic and ethically sourced herbs, spices & mushrooms. They focus on consumption with purpose, by harvesting the power of plants for the ultimate wellness rituals. You can shop Wunder Workshop goodies online at wunderworkshop.com.
MAGICAL MASSAGES WITH ANGEL OF WELLNESS
Really REALLY good massages aren’t so easy to come by, which is why we have to tell you about the healing hands of Katharine from Angel of Wellness. The ultimate stress reliever, her massages will have any tension dissolve away into bliss (much needed at this time of year!). Although she is mobile and can come to you, we really encourage you to visit her at her hilltop home in Esporles. The panoramic views, the scent of essential oils, and the serenity of her beautiful finca will have you instantly feeling worlds away from your troubles. And did we mention she has a heated massage table? EVER CONSIDERED HOMEOPATHY?
What is homeopathy? It’s an individualistic holistic approach which looks at the person as a whole. It is based on the principle that ‘like cures like’ – for example, someone suffering from hayfever with symptoms such as a runny nose and watery eyes, might be prescribed a remedy made from onions. Each patient that walks through the door is treated based on their own unique set of symptoms, and remedies are chosen to support the body in remembering how to heal itself and provide an overall improvement in health.
Sarah Heczko is here on the island completing her final year of my homeopathy licensure online at CHE based in London. She is looking to take on new patients at a subsidised rate in order to fulfil course requirements. It is a great deal at just €30 per session, which goes towards the cost of her supervisor, who is a medical doctor and homeopath of over 25 years. Sarah works with him to consult about your health. She is also happy to schedule a free 15-minute Zoom consultation to talk about how homeopathy can support you. To find out more please email Sarah at email@example.com
AN ISLAND EMBRACING SLOW LIVING
Each year we love the release of abcMallorca’s SLOW LIVING edition. The overarching idea is that the ‘new luxury’ is built around experiences over material things, and that true value comes from quality, craftsmanship, culture and heritage. This elegant edition introduces us to practical ways we can live more in the slow lane and gives an insight into local businesses taking the SLOW approach to fulfil their customer’s dreams. You can read the edition for free HERE, or pick up a print copy (which makes a gorgeous coffee table book!).
UNDERSTANDING 5G – A FREE TALK
Have you read our latest guest post by Katharine Tacon? She delves into what 5G actually is, the potential effects on our health, as well as proactive ways you can mitigate these. She is very kindly giving a free talk where you can learn more about 5G and how Shungite and other harmonising products can reduce the effects of radiation, on Thursday 15th December at 11:30 at Santosha Restaurant, Calle Metge Matas 2, Palma central. You are also welcome to join her for a delicious lunch at Santosha afterwards.
