John Singleton runs a boutique fitness centre called The Box Mallorca. The focus of the centre is on building a positive and caring community around health and fitness, and John is passionate about helping people achieve a healthy and pain free lifestyle. He has also been coaching CrossFit Athletes since 2006 and has assisted numerous athletes in reaching their goal of competing at The CrossFit Games.
What did you have for breakfast today?
I still haven’t had any yet, but I plan on getting a baguette from Palma Bread.
What does your morning routine look like?
My schedule is very varied, however if I choose a typical day it would involve waking up around 07.00, making a coffee, feeding the animals on the finca we live in and then sitting down on the computer to get the day started.
What is your number one health habit?
Without question: Exercise. So simple, yet sooo effective.
What is your guilty pleasure?
A glass of good red wine in the evening.
What’s one book or podcast you’d recommend everyone read/listen to?
I am a huge audio book fan, if I had to choose one it would be Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E Frankl.
In Mallorca, where is your favourite place to:
- De-stress: The sauna at Jumeirah Hotel
- Move: The Box Mallorca (of course!)
- Shop: I am a huge sports fan so The Tribe Concept
- Dine: I LOVE sushi and in my opinion Wasabi has the best on the island
- Stay: So many great choices here, however Es Racó d’Artà is a great place in the North
