Melanie Hurst is the very fit girl behind Girl Goes Fit. We met up with Mel for pancakes (recipe below) to talk about travel, fitness and to secretly admire her biceps!
We first heard about Girl Goes Fit at a Girl Gone International Mallorca meet up in Palma as it turns out she is their go-to trainer, loved by travelling and expat women aged between 25 and 55. This is not surprising given Mel’s open friendly personality and her mission to help other women all around the world like herself with their health and fitness.
Melanie told us, “I have always loved maintaining my health and fitness when travelling and living away from home. But I used to find it difficult to keep consistency and stay on track whilst on the move. I felt inspired by women that travel and live abroad and wanted to create a place to come together through fitness and health and provide them with all the tools they need to thrive.”
This led Mel to create Girl Goes Fit and turn her passion into an online fitness, health and wellness website. The site provides brilliant online packages for women on the move. Whether it be travel or work, she has worked hard to make GGF a total fitness destination. We particularly love her method of changing just one thing at a time. It is less overwhelming and feels good to achieve smaller goals regularly.

She has 15 years experience, is a qualified Personal Trainer with a Diploma in Exercise Prescription and a Diploma from the Institute of Intergrative Nutrition. Mel really gets it and will quickly put you on the right path by going deep with wellness coaching and nutritional advice as well as meal planning. Mel listens and provides through her extensive knowledge and life experience. She will create real solutions to ensure clients achieve their physical and emotional goals. Mel’s Banana Turmeric Pancake recipe
2cups buckwheat flour
1 mashed banana
1 tblsp of turmeric powder
1/2 tsp vanilla
2tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cup almond milk or milk of your choice
Mix and then cook in a medium to hot frying pan
